About a 2-hour bout ride south of Phuket, the Racha Islands comprise two islands: Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi. Their calm, crystal-clear waters make them ideal for divers and snorkelers of all skill levels looking for a relaxing day of diving. Exceptional visibility makes it a great place to explore the colorful coral reefs filled with reef fish and macro-organisms. The closer island, Racha Yai, also features the Harruby and Meditation, two intentionally sunken wrecks that pose as artificial reefs for a variety of marine life. The wrecks, sitting at deeper depths, make it ideal for the advanced divers looking to do a bit more exploration. Due to the lax conditions, these dive sites are highly recommended for beginners or novice divers. However, due to the relatively flat bottom topography, it may pose a little less excitement for more experienced divers. Nevertheless, whether you are a beginner, someone who is a bit more advanced, or maybe someone who has not dived in a long time, the easily navigable, crystal-clear waters of the Racha islands may be the ideal dive site for your next underwater adventure.
